About

About Dr Eva Sundriyal

Dr Eva Sundriyal is a nutritionist at DietXP and a dental surgeon registered with the Delhi Dental Council. She holds an MSc in Dietetics and Food Service Management, and earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2012 at the Institute of Dental Studies and Technologies, Kadrabad, under Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

In her dental work she diagnosed and treated patients and taught them about oral hygiene and diet. Alongside her MSc she completed a certificate course in clinical nutrition, a PCOS nutrition class and three months in the dietetics department of Pushpanjali Hospital and Research Centre, Agra.

At DietXP she works on diet plans for PCOS (now also called PMOS), children's nutrition and lifestyle change, and on the link between diet and oral health. She speaks English and Hindi.

Her focus

What she works on

Where her dental and nutrition training meet, and how she keeps advice within its limits.

  • PCOS (PMOS)

Meals you can keep, not one perfect diet

The 2023 international PCOS guideline found no evidence that any one type of diet works better than another, and advises healthy eating that suits the person. She builds plans on the food you already cook, with activity and lifestyle change alongside.

  • Children's nutrition

    Family meals for growing children

She helps parents plan family meals, school tiffins and snacks from home food, with fewer sweets and sugary drinks between meals, which helps growing teeth as well as weight.

  • Diet and oral health

Sugar counts for teeth as well as weight

WHO advises keeping free sugars (added sugar, honey, syrups and fruit juice) below 10% of daily energy, and below 5% for extra benefit, partly to prevent tooth decay. She plans sweets, sweetened tea and drinks across the whole day.

  • Safety

    Diet alongside your doctor's care

She does not diagnose or change medicines. With diabetes, thyroid or kidney disease, or in pregnancy, the plan follows your doctor's treatment, and dental problems go to your own dentist.

Method

How she builds a diet plan

The same four steps whether the plan is for PCOS, a child or a family.

  1. 1
    Your usual day

She starts with what you eat and drink now, at home and outside, and with your daily routine.

  2. 2
    Your health picture

Your diagnosis, reports and medicines from your doctor shape the plan. She does not diagnose or change medicines.

  3. 3
    Home food first

The plan uses familiar Indian meals and portions you can keep, not a list of special foods to buy.

  4. 4
    Sugar and snacks in view

Sweets, sweetened tea, juice and snacking are planned across the day, for your teeth as well as your weight.
