Before you book

Is IBS support right for you?

It suits you if

  • A doctor has diagnosed your IBS and you are 18 or older
  • You want Indian meals that suit your gut, made with food from shops near you
  • You have a low-FODMAP plan from your dietitian and want it turned into Indian dishes

See your doctor first if

  • Your symptoms are new, changing or have not been checked by a doctor
  • You notice blood in your stool, weight loss you cannot explain or anaemia
  • Pain or diarrhoea wakes you at night
  • Someone in your family has had bowel cancer, coeliac disease or inflammatory bowel disease

DietXP helps with food. Diagnosis, tests and medicines stay with your doctor.

Indian food stays in the picture

Make familiar meals work for you.

Rice, roti, dal and curd do not have to become a universal yes-or-no list. We start with what you tolerate and help you think through amounts, combinations and realistic alternatives. Any restrictive approach needs a clear reason and a plan to widen food choices again.

Vegetarian or non-vegetarian, quick weekday meals or family cooking: the starting point is your life, wherever you live.

IBS support: your questions answered

Do I need an IBS diagnosis first?

This support is for adults with diagnosed IBS. If symptoms are new, unexplained or changing, see a doctor first rather than assuming they are IBS.

Which country page should I use?

Use the page for the country where the person having the consultation or programme lives. It shows the options, the fee and the local details for that country.

What can I book in India and in other countries?

In India, one online consultation with a written food plan within 2 working days and a short explanation call. In other countries, a 3-month Core programme with 3 follow-ups, or a 6-month Extended programme with 6 follow-ups, priority WhatsApp support and progress reviews at 90 and 180 days.

When will I get my written plan?

Within 2 working days of your first consultation, in India and in every other country.

How do I pay?

After we confirm your booking in writing, we send the payment details on WhatsApp or by email. Fees are in rupees in India and in local currency in other countries.

Which languages can I use?

English, Hindi or Kannada, with Maria. Tell us which you prefer when you message us.

Will I have to stop eating Indian food?

Not automatically. The conversation starts with your usual meals and individual tolerance. We can explore practical alternatives without assuming an entire cuisine is unsuitable.

Is low-FODMAP part of every programme?

No. It is not necessary or suitable for everyone. If your treating team recommends it, ask about appropriately trained dietitian support, a short trial, reintroduction and personalisation. It should not become an indefinite list of forbidden foods.

Can the programme promise symptom relief?

No specific outcome is guaranteed. Symptoms can have several influences, and food changes that help one person may not help another. Your medical care remains important.

Can my family join?

Yes. The person who cooks or helps with meals is welcome on your calls, including family members in India. If you are contacting us for someone else, please let them know. We ask for their agreement before we discuss their health.

Your doctor stays in charge

Speak to your doctor about new, severe, persistent or worsening digestive symptoms. Do not use a food plan to delay medical assessment or stop prescribed medicines.
