Emotional support

Support for how you feel, not only what you eat

Worry, low mood and fear of the cancer coming back are common, for the person with cancer and for the family caring for them. DietXP’s psycho-oncologist, Fathimath Naeema Nasreen, offers online one-to-one counselling for adults with cancer and adult family caregivers, including Indian families living abroad. Each country page shows the session fee in local currency, and before you book we confirm that sessions can go ahead where you live. We do not currently offer sessions to people living in the UAE, Kuwait, Malaysia, Germany or the UK.

Sessions are confidential and separate from your nutrition programme; only what you agree to share is passed on. This is not a crisis service. Your cancer team can tell you about counselling where you are treated. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Your questions

Before you get in touch

Is this for Indian families living abroad?

Yes. We focus on familiar Indian foods and the practical questions that come with shopping, cooking and caring for someone overseas. Choose the country where care is taking place to see the options.

Does this replace my hospital dietitian?

No. DietXP provides online nutrition education and practical food support. Your local team continues to manage cancer treatment, medical nutrition therapy, medicines and feeding prescriptions.

How much does a programme cost?

The Core programme runs for 3 months and Extended for 6 months. Choose your country to see the full fee in your local currency: nothing is added when you pay. India has a separate consultation option.

What if I need urgent medical help?

Contact your local treating team or emergency service. Do not wait for a reply from DietXP if you have urgent symptoms.

When will I get my written plan?

Within 2 working days of your first consultation, in India and in every other country.

How do I pay?

After we confirm your booking in writing, we send the payment details on WhatsApp or by email. Fees are in rupees in India and in local currency in other countries.

Which languages can I use?

English or Hindi, and Tamil, Marathi or Malayalam with some of our nutrition experts. Tell us which you prefer when you message us.

Can a family member book for someone else?

Yes. Many families abroad arrange support for a parent in India, and many people abroad are supported by family in India. Please let the person know, as we ask for their agreement before we discuss their health.
