PCOS care in India

PCOS and PMOS care in India

A 2022 review of Indian studies estimated that about 1 in 10 Indian women have PCOS by the commonly used Rotterdam criteria. The condition was renamed PMOS in May 2026, so you may see both names on reports for a while.

Meals that fit your day

We plan around your routine, whether that is college, office or home, with regular meals, fibre and protein from Indian food you enjoy.

Food across India

Indian food is not one diet. We plan for your region and routine, from roti and dal to rice and sambar, and for fasts and festivals such as Navratri, Karva Chauth and Ramzan.

Rice, roti and dairy stay on the menu

They are not automatically excluded because you have PCOS. We look at portions, combinations and your preferences before suggesting any change.

Alongside your doctor in India

In India you can see a gynaecologist or endocrinologist directly, without a referral. Bring their advice and reports, and your food plan will follow them.

Getting ready

What to have ready for your PCOS consultation

You do not need to send reports before booking. We tell you how to share them before your consultation.

  • Your doctor’s diagnosis and any advice about food or weight
  • Recent reports your doctor ordered, such as ultrasound, hormone, thyroid or blood sugar tests
  • Your period dates for the last few months
  • Your medicines and supplements
  • What you eat on a usual day, including college or office meals and snacks

PCOS consultation: your questions answered

Do I need a gynaecologist’s diagnosis first?

Yes. PCOS should be diagnosed by a doctor. Bring your reports and your doctor’s advice, and we will build your food plan around them.

How much does the PCOS consultation cost?

₹2,950, including 18% GST (₹2,500 + ₹450 GST). It covers the consultation, your written PCOS food plan and a short call to explain it. Nothing else is added when you pay.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer (NEFT, RTGS or IMPS) or UPI, after we confirm your booking in writing. We send the payment details on WhatsApp or by email.

When will I get my written plan?

Within 2 working days of your consultation. A short call with Maria follows to explain the plan and answer your questions.

Which languages can I use?

English, Hindi or Kannada, with Maria. Tell us which you prefer when you message us.

Is the consultation online?

Yes. The consultation and the explanation call are both online. We agree the call format and the time with you when we confirm your booking.

Is there one best diet for PCOS?

No single diet composition has been shown to be best for everyone with PCOS. A sustainable approach should reflect your preferences, health needs and circumstances.

Will this focus only on weight loss?

No. Your goals are discussed with you. Health-supporting habits matter even without weight loss, and conversations about weight should be respectful and only part of a wider picture.

Will I need to avoid rice, dairy or gluten?

These foods are not automatically excluded because you have PCOS. We consider your preferences and any confirmed allergies, intolerances or other medical advice before discussing changes.

Can food support replace medicines or fertility care?

No. Decisions about medicines, menstrual symptoms and fertility treatment belong with your doctor. Food support can complement, not replace, that care.

Is PCOS now called PMOS?

Yes. In May 2026 an international consensus published in The Lancet renamed polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), because the condition affects hormones and metabolism, not just the ovaries, and does not involve harmful cysts. Health services are switching over gradually, so you will see both names for a while. It does not change the food support we offer.

Can my family join?

Yes. A parent, partner or the person who cooks is welcome on both calls. If you are contacting us for someone else, please let them know. We ask for their agreement before we discuss their health.

What happens after the explanation call?

Your consultation is complete. Follow-up consultations are not included. If you would like more support later, message us and we will explain the options and the fee before you book.
