Dating Method * ACOG CO 700 recommends ultrasound as the preferred dating method when available. LMP with cycle correction is standard when no scan has been done. IVF/ART provides the most precise dating (known conception timing).
Naegele rule: EDD = LMP + 280 + (cycle length - 28) days. Cycle correction per ACOG CO 700 and Indian prospective studies (Kumar 2017).
Default 28. Enter your actual cycle length for accuracy.

Jukic et al. BJOG 2013 (125 natural conceptions): mean gestation from LMP = 283.2 days. Adds 3 days to standard EDD. Not universally adopted clinically.

Personalisation (Optional) Parity and BMI slightly shift the birth probability distribution. Jukic 2013: primiparas tend to deliver ~1.7 days later; multiparas ~1.1 days earlier. BMI has minimal effect on dating but affects GDM and complication risk flagging.

This calculator is an educational and clinical-support tool aligned with ACOG Committee Opinion 700 (2017), ACOG Practice Bulletin 175 (2016), and ICMR-NIN 2020. Due date estimates are statistical starting points. Ultrasound by a qualified sonographer remains the gold standard for gestational age assessment. Birth probability distributions are statistical models (Jukic 2013 cohort data) and are not for medical decision-making. Always confirm dates and manage your pregnancy with your obstetrician, gynaecologist, or midwife. Seek immediate care for any pregnancy emergency.
